Tras aprender a tocar la guitarra de forma autodidacta, con veinte a\u00f1os se incorpor\u00f3 al grupo Magdalene, formado por David Coverdale.<\/p>\n<p>En 1974 Rea public\u00f3 su primer single en solitario, \u201cSo much love\u201d, y cuatro a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s vio la luz el primer \u00e1lbum: <i>Whatever Happened to Benny Santini?<\/i>.
